Demo & Discussion: U.S. Army On Maximizing The Value Of SBM With SharePoint

During this webinar, the Serena BPM team and the U.S. Army demonstrated and discussed the benefits of combining SBM with SharePoint to:

  • Leverage SharePoint's document collaboration capabilities – Complete the reviews of documents in parallel. Reduce feedback consolidation efforts and the potential to override changes
  • Gain a single view of process and project performance – right from within SharePoint
  • Create a knowledge repository as the review processes progress – Information is no longer locked in email. Teams can easily revisit tasks to see why things were done a certain way and review the associated attachments and notes

The U.S. Army also discussed how they have delivered multiple process-based applications that support the needs of their functional users using SBM – e.g., for tracking "suspenses" or task assignments, document approvals, credit card request approvals, purchase approvals, account provisioning, requests for access to systems, change management, and personnel-related processes.
