Serena On-Demand Webcast
Serena's Federal customers create and maintain software applications running in some of the most difficult environments in the world. When there is an issue with one of these applications, whether part of an embedded system, used for command and control or to manage day to day operations, issues, defects and requests for change must be gathered far and wide and routed to the right development team for resolution.
In addition, tight control over the development process is essential. Whether that's approving change, managing promotion of source, controlling release and deployment, the process must be expertly managed. Bottom line, the entirety of the software development lifecycle from initial change request to the source code that implements the change, needs be tracked with traceability and end-to-end reporting. Without this there can be gaps in visibility, or worst case, missing functionality in a release.

Serena provides this end-to-end visibility. In this webinar we will show how customers can use SBM (TeamTrack) to automate the front-end phase (initial CR capture, routing to correct product team, Change Control Board approvals) and when fully vetted, submit the approved CR's to Dimensions CM to provide ties to source code, builds, releases and ultimately, deployment. The tie back to SBM (TeamTrack) then allows the originating "ticket" to be closed out, with the result that automated end-to-end visibility and traceability is achieved, updated with important details often used for management reporting.
This approach yields significant benefits to DOD (and other Federal) organizations that need to ensure strong governance, an easy to follow audit trail, and superb reporting.
